Designed very much with the traveller in mind is this hardwearing but conveniently lightweight and compact range of tripods fashioned from aluminium alloy. This is the most popular reverse folding compact tripod design we have ever offered and is perfect for taking on a plane. The key feature is that the tripod legs can be inverted and folded back through 180 degrees.

With six aluminium models in the range – and a further six fashioned from carbon fibre – the robust Benro Travel Angel 2 Series Tripods boast strength and portability in equal measure, courtesy of a winning combination of magnesium alloy castings and, with this particular model, machined aluminium alloy legs.

This has enabled Benro to produce a very stable, lightweight, ‘take anywhere’ tripod that doesn’t stint on quality. Benro aluminium tubing is made of imported high strength aluminium alloy specially processed to maintain a weight that’s light yet to also deliver strength and rigidity. All metal parts are protected with a combination of anodizing and high temperature powder paint treatment – enhancing the tripod’s impact and corrosion resistance capabilities, thus making for a long service life.

Magnesium alloy is also deployed because it is 30 per cent lighter than aluminium alloys in the same quantity, plus its strength, stability and anti vibration performance is, we believe, better.

Quickly converts to Monopod

If shooting space is really tight, it takes just a few seconds to detach one of the legs of the Benro Travel Angel 2 Series Tripod. Simply unscrew the leg assembly from the tripod to remove. When put together with the tripod’s centre column, it converts to a substantial adjustable monopod with a ball head: simply screw the centre column into the single tripod leg to assemble a fully functioning monopod, either with or without a ball head.

Practical walking and hiking feature

The Benro Travel Angel 2 Series Tripod kit is supplied with a wooden knob accessory with an in-built compass. This screws onto the top of the monopod and converts it to a walking support. Screw the wood crutch head into the single tripod leg after mounting the hand strap, and you have a fully functioning crutch.

Versatility

A key feature of the Benro Travel Angel 2 Series Tripod is that the legs fold back 180 degrees. This not only makes carrying the tripod much easier and more practical – the legs also adjust right out and down for low-level photography.

Adjustable centre column

This is both fully adjustable and reversible. There is a hook at the bottom of the column to which a weight can be attached to give extra stability if and when it is ever required. The spring hook is also easily removable, while the centre column itself can be taken out.

Water resistant rubber lock grips and anti rotation leg locking system

The Benro Travel Angel 2 Series Tripod comes with its manufacturer’s rust and weather-resistant, rubberised leg-locking grips. This, coupled with Benro’s anti rotating leg design, enables fast adjustments to be made, whatever the weather or inclement conditions the photographer finds themselves in.

Handgrip

This tripod series has a comfortable padded grip on one leg, lined with soft NBR (Nitrile Butadene Rubber), for non-slip action.

Stainless steel spiked or rubber feet for added stability

The Benro Travel Angel 2 Series Tripod can be tailored to the surface or ground conditions wherever you are, as it comes supplied with both spiked and rubber feet in order to provide optimum stability.
